WELCOME !

Thank you for joining us on this great adventure !

We are happy to announce our new project: Rogue Artist Creations Escape Rooms!  (RACERs).  So, what exactly is an escape room, you may ask?

An escape room is a series of puzzles and challenges that usually have to be solved in order in a specific time limit to escape a place, find a treasure, solve a mystery, etc.

Our RACERs are set in a specific time period of history – Vikings, Ancient Rome, the Renaissance or perhaps World War II. YOU find yourself transported there and find yourself in a story of the past.  Perhaps you are the only chance to save Queen Elizabeth's life.

Maybe you are an Egyptian explorer searching for a lost Pharaoh's pyramid.  You could be the most-worthy Viking in your village, facing the challenges of the Gods and Goddesses themselves in order to become the new Jarl and lead your people!

Each box has twelve or more puzzles, followed by a final ENDGAME challenge, then the solutions so that you can see how you did.  Of course... if you have proved that you can complete ONE box, then the fun is only just beginning!

We have mapped out history from pre-historic cave-people times through to the third millennium.  We have 26 time zones - each an era of famous excitement and wonder. Also, each era can yield more than one box.  We have two World War II boxes already.  We have three Victorian ones planned and ideas for possibly four Stuarts ones!

The point is: there will be LOTS for you to enjoy... so please come back and adventure with us again!

(There is even a backstory – see below for more details!)

What's In The Box ?

Each pack contains an information sheet, business card and several sealed envelopes.  The first one contains the introduction and the initial puzzles. Our escape rooms also contain one or more final challenges, to be solved once you’ve proved yourself against the other puzzles. The second envelope is for these “endgame” challenges. (Depending upon the box, there may be more clues or special information here as well in further envelopes.) Finally, the last envelope contains the answers, so don't open it until you're ready for the solutions!

Read the Introduction then work your way through the first envelope of puzzles. When you think that you’ve solved everything, then proceed to the next envelope and so on. Some games come with a Hints sheet to help you if you’re stuck but try not to peep at the answer until you’re ready, so you don’t spoil any endgame surprises!  Once you think that you know all there is to be known, open the final envelope and see how well you did!

RACERs take an hour or two to solve (depending upon the skill and intelligence of your team).  You can try to solve all the puzzles in one go or you can do a few, take a break, then come back to the rest later. Whatever suits you. We have boxes from 2 stars (easy) through to 5 stars (properly challenging!).

We hope that you have a great time and we’d love to hear more about your experiences. We’re available online via email gmfirst@rogueartistcreations.com and social media (see our contact details).  Best wishes and many thanks!    Mr Prowse, Rogue Artist Creations Ltd.  January 2024

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL AS A BUSINESS?

PURPOSE: At Rogue Artist Creations, we design and develop games and experiences to bring people together; whether at home, gaming with friends or learning as a class.

VISION: We would like schools across the country to be using our Escape Rooms and Curriculum Work Packs to engage them and enhance their learning. We aim to work with educational trusts to help bring our products into families of schools.

MISSION: To grow our company through exciting ranges of products, including games, escape rooms and education learning resources. To build brand awareness, attend events, develop contacts, show successful product development and grow as a business.

CORE VALUES: Gaming experiences bring people together to build skills, develop social confidence and engagement, celebrate success and enrich learning. We believe in working hard, appreciating people’s input and developing high-quality products that have a positive impact in people’s lives.

POSITIONING: There is no-one who is doing exactly what we are doing: developing curriculum-based learning experiences and escape rooms that target primary education learning objectives and history topic enhancement. Our products are developed through many years of primary teaching experience and game design. We would like our products to support history-led cross-curricular enhancement: via either a half-term or fortnight of cross-curricular learning, culminating in an escape room day. We offer packs that cover the full Key Stage 2 history curriculum but also feed into many other subjects.

PERSONALITY: We are enthusiastic communicators; friendly and approachable stallholders at gaming / educational events; happy and eager to talk about our range of products. We are always working hard to develop new products and love having creative projects on the go. We want people to love our products and come back for more, so we always try to be friendly, responsible and add value to people’s lives.

MESSAGING: We are developing our networking within the educational map of schools across the country. We have a small social networking presence, which we hope to develop. We attend gaming events to sell products and raise awareness. We are making links with higher education and will be developing links with other educational product services, so as to extend our effective reach and presence in the market.

PROMISE: We promise to keep creating new experiences: to inspire, engage, support and teach; through discovery and play.

STORY: Our company was officially created in 2012 by Andrew Prowse: coming from a background already rich in game design, creative projects and experience in education. We started by designing tabletop games, including the (educational) Victorian card game: Top Hats And Treachery; made to teach children about Victorian London and crowdfunded via Kickstarter. We developed our presence at events such as AireCon and the UK Games Expo. From there, further tabletop games came: Merchants of Infinity and SKÅL! (during and post-Lockdown). Then, the move came to officially develop the Curriculum Escape Rooms that Andrew had been creating and using in his classrooms to enhance and inspire learning. These blossomed into Rogue Artist Creations Escape Rooms (RACERs), which brings us up to today.

VOICE: We believe that people should play more games, develop exciting and inspiring experiences through learning and play. We believe that education should be inspiring and creative and that games have a great impact in building friendships and spending quality time together. We are telling everyone that they can have fun adventures and create great memories with our products.
